Dear Sir:
We are writing this e-mail to you on behalf of our family. As a 30-year resident of San Diego and a homeowner in Lakeside I take pride in taking my family to a nice food place. I have heard from friends, as well coworkers, to "try the new one at Imperial Beach Pier." I was a little leery of going to Imperial Beach due to the stereotype I thought I knew about. Of the Imperial Beach motorcycle gangs and drugs, and I preferred not to bring my family there. I now know that I was 100% wrong.
This peaceful little town reminded me of Lakeside, which is about 30 miles north/east of Imperial Beach. I enjoy my fish as well as did my wife. We both have traveled to San Macros, Escondido, Chula Vista and San Diego for a good Fish and Chips dinner. While walking out on the pier, I thought, what type of excellent fish and chips place could be located at the end of some pier. Well, believe me, I was 100% wrong, and Jack White of TV Channel 10 News was wrong. He said the fish and chips were "good." The proper description is "excellent," much above "good." On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this a strong 15.
The clam chowder was the thickest I had ever had. I almost had to use a fork it was so thick and rich. My wife and I also had the Fish and Chips (The Tin Plate). As a former military person, I saw the squid and octopus, so I was a little nervous having my wife try this for the first time. Well, she ate mostly all of the squid along with the octopus and fish. We usually use English Vinegar to cut the greasy taste. This was the first time we did not use vinegar. I will promise you one thing, that I will be back, and I have never tried any fish or fries this good in my life let alone in the San Diego area.
You are more than welcome to use my letter and post it. Again thanks for the great counter work the young man as well as the pleasant atmosphere.
